How to transfer photos from iPhone to PC or Laptop (Windows 10) without iTunes?

Microsoft now offers users a way to transfer photos, without the use of iTunes. The Windows 10 OS has a new way for users to upload photos from iPhone to laptop/PC. The new Photos app feature allows you to copy photos from your iPhone to Windows 10 in bulk.

  1. Plug your iPhone into your PC using a USB cable.
  2. Open the Photos app. To find this, type in Photos into the search bar located at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  3. On the top right corner of the Photo application, there is an import button. Click this to import your photos.
  4. Your photos will now be imported from your iPhone to Windows 10.

How to transfer photos from iPhone to Mac?

A quick and easy method of transferring your pictures if you have a Mac is just simply importing this to iPhoto. This is a free method to download photos froiPhonene to Mac, in case of data loss.

  1. Connect your iPhone to your Mac using a USB cable.
  2. Launch the iPhoto application (if this does not upload automatically).
  3. Select the pictures you want to upload.

How to transfer photos from iPhone to iCloud?

To free up some storage from your device, a good method is to back up all your photos to iCloud, then delete these from your Photo Library. Moving your images is not a difficult task, it just requires a few simple steps and when that’s done you will be able to view your images on your iCloud account.

  1. Sign in to (or create) your iCloud.com account.
  2. Go to Settings on your iPhone > Select iCloud.
  3. Turn on: Back up iCloud > Select Back up Now.
  4. This will transfer your images to iCloud.

How to transfer photos from iPhone to Android?

With Android devices, storing photos is slightly different to the super easy tools like iTunes and iCloud as Androids use a different OS. AnyTrans for Android is a great app to use for transferring your photos, contacts, messages, music and all other important data between your iPhone and Android devices. You can access the photos stored on your iPhone and select the photos you would like transferred to an Android with just the click of a button.

  1. Install the AnyTrans for Android app on your computer.
  2. Connect your iPhone and Android to your computer > Run AnyTrans for Android.
  3. Choose the Android mover tab. You will then see all the data types on your iPhone.
  4. Select the photo album you would like transferred to the Android.
  5. Click the right arrow to start the transfer!

How to transfer pictures from iPhone to Google Drive?

A great way to store your pictures is by using Google Drive. You can also use Google Drive to upload your pictures if you decide to swap your iPhone with an Android.

Firstly, download the Google Photos application. If you would like to save just one picture, follow these steps:

  1. Once downloaded, open the app.
  2. Select the photo(s) you would like transferred to Google Drive.
  3. Tap More > Save to Device.

To save all your photos:

  1. Open the Google Photos app.
  2. Tap Menu > Settings.
  3. Under Google Photos, tap Auto Add to turn on.
  4. Open the Google Photos folder.
  5. Select what you would like downloaded > Tap More > Select All > Download.
